What is your practice? Materials? Processes?

The manufacture of kiln-formed glass objects..

What 5 words best describe your work?

Geometric, symmetrical, colourful,optical,precise.


Do you have any design heroes?

Klaus Moje(German glass artist now working in Australia)..

Where is your studio?

Along the road in Timperley.

Describe in 10 words a typical day in your studio

Coffee, tidy, deconstuction, reconstruction, bafflement, patience, grinding, polishing, washing and drying.


Are you working on anything unusual at the moment? Commissions? New work?

My work constantly evolves which produces new challenges and problems. I am currently trying to figure out lenticular techniques in glass where the image changes from differing angles.

Did you exhibit or visit last years SAT?


What will you be selling at SAT15? Anything new?

I have a small new range of hand-polished jewellery along with some new vessels and wall-based work which continues older themes.

What venue are you exhibiting at on the trail?

I am at Julie Harris’ photography studio on Marsland rd near Sale Girls grammar school.

Tell us something we don’t know

My work was recently hired by a production company and placed as an exhibition in Manchester art gallery for a scene in the latest Russel T Davis comedy drama Cucumber.
