What is your practice? Materials? Processes?
I make willow sculptures of mainly animal form and garden ornaments. I have developed my own technique using willow I buy from Somerset.

Where is your studio?
My studio is in Ancoats in a Grade ll listed mill. It’s called Awol Studios and has around 150 creative people there. I am on the 5th floor and the view is amazing.
Describe in 10 words a typical day in your studio
Climb stairs, make tea, sit fiddling with sticks, admire view!
Are you working on anything unusual at the moment? Commissions? New work?
Apart from making for the trail I am making a farmyard of animals for Wilderness Festival in August. I have a Friesian cow and I’m making Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs with piglets, Black sheep and lambs and lots of chickens with a couple of cockerels. I will be running workshops at the festival from my bell tent in the green crafts field.
Did you exhibit or visit last years SAT?
I didn’t manage to visit last year but heard all the good things about it!
What will you be selling at SAT15? Anything new?
I will be selling a range of animals, animal heads and garden plant supports and ornaments.
What venue are you exhibiting at on the trail?
I will be in Sophie Nixon’s garden, selling and demonstrating. The address is 68 Poplar Grove M33 3AY

This is my fourth career and is a complete accident which was never planned. It is the best thing I have ever done.
