What is your practice? Materials? Processes?
I am a portrait/people photographer. I work in my own studio as well as on location or in peoples homes. I produce beautiful, natural photographs for people to treasure. I am constantly sourcing different products for my clients and they are always of the highest standards. However, my first love is always Black & White photography and here I try to offer something a bit more gritty and unusual. I use this style within my portrait photography to offer a different look. But mainly I reserve this for my personal work around sale.
What 5 words best describe your work?
Natural, Different, Bespoke & Beautiful.
Do you have any design heroes?
I love the Magnum photographers, reportage work. Documentary style photographers. Oldies such as W. Eugene Smith & Eugene Atget. My first inspiration as a young art student was definitely Salvador Dali. Most recently I am inspired by the award winning wedding photographer Mark Cleghorn.
Where is your studio?
My Home Studio is on Marsland Road. It is rapidly expanding and currently undergoing
a very exciting modern extension programme.
Describe in 10 words a typical day in your studio
There is no such thing as a typical day for me. It can range from: Shooting: anything from a Harp Quartet, a family of 9, wedding cakes, a lawyer, school children or a boudoir session. Editing on the computer, packaging products for delivery. Setting up the studio.
Delivering products, client viewings, client collections, client consultations.
I never get bored, and I love it!
Are you working on anything unusual at the moment? Commissions? New work?
I am working on a very exciting project for a local school. Very creative and different. It will make a
huge impact to their building. But is very much hush, hush at the moment, sorry!
Did you exhibit or visit last years SAT?
What will you be selling at SAT15? Anything new?
I will be selling a range of prints and products of images around sale.
Everything from metal prints, wood prints, canvases, frames & cards.

My Home Studio on Marsland Road.

Tell us something we don’t know
I used to own & ride a Virago 535 motorbike, in all its beautiful black & chrome loveliness.
Perhaps thats where my love of black & white photography was nurtured.
